These are FEMA camps in the State of Alabama - for a complete list please refer to the list of camps page.
These camps originate from many combined lists of supposed camps from all over the Internet. For more information see the FEMA camps page.
There are a supposedly a total of 5 FEMA camps in Alabama; in reality none of the listed locations are FEMA camps.
Former POW Camps: 3
WWII German POW camp - Capacity 15,000
(Anniston) - Opposite side of town from Army Depot
I'm not quite sure what that description means, but during World War II there was a 3,000 person capacity POW camp located on Ft. McClellan, it was decommissioned in 1946 and no longer exists. Fort McClellan was officially, and completely, closed forever in 1995. Parts of the location are now a part of the Mountain Longleaf National Wildlife Refuge
(Montgomery) - Civilian prison camp established under Operation Garden Plot, currently operating with support staff and small inmate population.
The "civilian prison camp" is a federal prison located on Maxwell AFB, logical because it's federal property. It has a population of 942 and was established in 1930. The establishment date is important because Operation Garden Plot began in the 1960s, more than 30 years after the prison already opened. This makes it impossible for the prison to be "established under" it.
You can read more about Operation Garden Plot in my NWO section.
Military compound either in or very near town. / WWII German/Italian camp - may be renovated.
There is a POW museum for the camp, but the camps were completely removed by 1947, other than photographs and the museum, there's barely any evidence left the camp even existed. It is not being renovated, there's nothing to renovate.
Federal prison "satellite" camp.
There is indeed a federal prison and a satellite "camp" that's also a part of said prison located in Talladega.
